Get flooring leads in Canada

Flooring requests start with the material (hardwood or engineered, vinyl plank, laminate, tile, carpet, or epoxy and concrete) and whether it’s a new floor, a refinish or a repair. The homeowner also estimates the area, from one room to most of the home, or just the stairs.

What a flooring lead shows you

Every flooring request answers these questions before it reaches you. Follow-up questions appear only when an earlier answer calls for them.

That combination tells you a lot before you connect: refinishing hardwood across a whole floor is a different day’s work from replacing carpet in a single bedroom. If you don’t refinish or pour epoxy, leave those services off and those requests won’t reach you.

The guide homeowners get on this site

We publish a flooring guide for homeowners. It is written for them, not for us, and its headings are a fair list of what someone who has read it will ask you about.

Read the flooring guide

What the guide covers

  • Types of flooring compared: hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, vinyl, tile and carpet
  • Best flooring by room: basements on concrete, kitchens, bathrooms and radiant heat
  • Subfloor preparation and floor levelling before new flooring goes down
  • Acclimatizing new flooring and controlling indoor humidity through Canadian winters
  • Asbestos in old vinyl tiles, sheet flooring and adhesives: never sand or scrape them
  • Comparing flooring quotes line by line: layout, method, surprises and warranties
  • RBQ licence for flooring contractors in Quebec, and when to ask your city

Questions it answers

  • Can new flooring be installed over an existing floor?
  • Why do gaps open between wood floorboards in winter?
  • Who connects an electric heated floor?
  • Will the installer remove and reinstall my baseboards?
  • Do I need to leave home while floors are installed?

How matching works

Requests are matched by published rules that are the same for every pro.

How we rank and match pros
  • You receive a request only for services you offer and haven’t excluded, in the areas you serve.
  • Your account must be active, with your email address and phone number verified, and you must be accepting new requests within the daily or weekly limits you set.
  • Requests reach you only with timings you accept, such as emergencies, and budgets that aren’t clearly outside the range you work in.
  • When more pros fit than a lead allows, we give more weight to an exact service match, how directly you cover the area, verification, how quickly you reply and, once you have at least three published reviews, your rating. Never to who pays more.
  • Each lead goes to a limited number of pros, and you see that number before you decide.

Invalid leads and refunds

If a lead turns out to be invalid, you can ask for a refund review from your dashboard. We look at each request and let you know the outcome. A lead may qualify when:

  • The contact details are wrong or don't work.
  • It duplicates a lead you already received.
  • It isn't a real request for work.
  • It's outside the services or areas you listed.

Verification you’ll need

Before you receive leads, you confirm your business email and phone number with one-time codes. Business registration, licence and insurance details are optional during sign-up; once our team checks them, your profile shows what was verified and when.

  • Contact details verified

You confirm your business email and phone number with one-time codes. This is required before you receive leads.

  • Business registration checked

Our team reviews the registration details you provide.

  • Licence and insurance checked

Where your trade calls for a licence or insurance, we review what you provide.

Verification shows which details were checked and when. It isn’t a guarantee of workmanship, and it can’t be bought.
