Lokal Rewards terms

Lokal Rewards isn't live. These terms will apply only once it launches in your country. Open item for legal review: the earning rates, the pending period and the inactivity period mentioned below will be set before launch.

Lokal Rewards are promotional credits that reduce the price of future jobs you pay for through LokalMatch. They're issued for loyalty, award and promotional purposes and have no cash value.

Rewards can't be bought, topped up, sold, transferred to someone else for value or exchanged for cash. There are no fees to hold or use them.

You earn rewards on completed jobs that you book and pay for through LokalMatch. The rewards you'll earn on a job are shown before you pay.

Rewards never depend on leaving a review or on what a review says.

New rewards start as pending. They become available once the job has been paid and the pending period has passed without a refund, cancellation or chargeback. We show the pending period before you earn a reward, and we show pending and available rewards separately.

You can use available rewards toward jobs paid through LokalMatch, up to the amount shown at checkout. Rewards are applied before your card is charged, and your receipt shows how much was paid with rewards.

Rewards are held in the currency of the country where you earned them and can only be used on jobs in that country.

LokalMatch funds rewards unless a pro's offer says the pro funds them. Either way, using rewards doesn't change the work you get or your rights about it.

If a job is refunded, cancelled or charged back, the rewards earned on it are reversed, in full or in proportion to the refund. Rewards used on a job that's refunded go back to your rewards balance. We may also reverse rewards gained through fraud, self-dealing or breaking these terms. Our refund policy has more detail.

Whether rewards can expire depends on where you live. Where expiry is allowed, we show the expiry date when a reward is issued and remind you before it passes. We never charge fees on rewards.

We may run prize draws for Lokal Rewards members. No draw is running now, and none will run until it has passed legal review. Each draw will have its own official rules, readable without signing in, and will include:

We'll tell you in advance before we make changes that reduce your rewards or end the programme, and give you reasonable time to use available rewards. Open item for legal review: the notice period, and what happens to rewards when you close your account.
