Get corporate event leads in the UK
Event requests come with the brief already written down. The client picks the kind of event — a conference or seminar, a company party, a product launch, a trade show, or a meeting away from the office — and says how many guests are expected, from under fifty to more than five hundred.

What a corporate event lead shows you
Every corporate event request answers these questions before it reaches you. Follow-up questions appear only when an earlier answer calls for them.
What they need is a separate answer from what the event is: planning and coordination, staging and production, sound and lighting and screens, or simply finding a venue. A supplier asked only for the technical side on a fixed date and a planner asked to run the whole programme are different engagements.

The guide clients get on this site
We publish a corporate event guide for clients. It is written for them, not for us, and its headings are a fair list of what someone who has read it will ask you about.
What the guide covers
- Licensing Act 2003: when your event needs a licence
- Temporary Event Notices for unlicensed venues
- Martyn's Law and what it will ask of qualifying events
- Delegate data, registration lists and follow-up marketing
- How a corporate event brief runs from sign-off to debrief
- Avoidable problems in UK corporate events
Questions it answers
- Does my corporate event need its own alcohol licence?
- What are the limits on a Temporary Event Notice?
- How much notice does a Temporary Event Notice need?
- Is Martyn's Law in force yet?
- Will Martyn's Law apply to a corporate conference?
- Can I share the delegate list with sponsors?
Guide last checked 22 September 2026.

Licensing Act 2003: when your event needs a licence
From our guide for this trade, with the official sources it was checked against.
In England and Wales, businesses, organisations and individuals who want to sell or supply alcohol must hold a licence or other authorisation from a licensing authority, usually the local council, with the law and policy overseen by the Home Office. Three instruments cover the permanent cases. Any business or organisation selling or supplying alcohol on a permanent basis needs a premises licence. Anyone who plans to sell or supply alcohol, or to authorise its sale or supply, must apply for a personal licence. Qualifying members' clubs need a club premises certificate.
Most corporate events held in hotels, conference centres and established venues sit under the venue's existing premises licence, and the planner's job is to check its terms rather than to apply for anything. Read the licence conditions: they set the permitted hours, the licensable activities allowed, capacity and often specific requirements about door supervision, noise or dispersal. A venue that is licensed for a wedding reception is not automatically licensed for the live band you have booked until midnight.
The local licensing authority is the first point of contact for general enquiries, and its statement of licensing policy will tell you how it treats late finishes, outdoor areas and temporary structures. UK councils differ considerably, which is why a format that ran smoothly in one city can hit resistance in another.

How matching works
Requests are matched by published rules that are the same for every pro.
How we rank and match pros- You receive a request only for services you offer and haven’t excluded, in the areas you serve.
- Your account must be active, with your email address and phone number verified, and you must be accepting new requests within the daily or weekly limits you set.
- Requests reach you only with timings you accept, such as emergencies, and budgets that aren’t clearly outside the range you work in.
- When more pros fit than a lead allows, we give more weight to an exact service match, how directly you cover the area, verification, how quickly you reply and, once you have at least three published reviews, your rating. Never to who pays more.
- Each lead goes to a limited number of pros, and you see that number before you decide.
Invalid leads and refunds
If a lead turns out to be invalid, you can ask for a refund review from your dashboard. We look at each request and let you know the outcome. A lead may qualify when:
- The contact details are wrong or don't work.
- It duplicates a lead you already received.
- It isn't a real request for work.
- It's outside the services or areas you listed.
Verification you’ll need
Before you receive leads, you confirm your business email and phone number with one-time codes. Business registration, licence and insurance details are optional during sign-up; once our team checks them, your profile shows what was verified and when.
Contact details verified
You confirm your business email and phone number with one-time codes. This is required before you receive leads.
Business registration checked
Our team reviews the registration details you provide.
Licence and insurance checked
Where your trade calls for a licence or insurance, we review what you provide.
Verification shows which details were checked and when. It isn’t a guarantee of workmanship, and it can’t be bought.

- Choose the parts of the job you take. Finding a venue and running a full production are rarely the same business.
- Set the guest numbers you handle. A small meeting away from the office and a five-hundred-person conference need different teams.
- If you own your staging or technical equipment rather than hiring it in, say so. Clients asking for sound, lighting and screens want to know.
