Delete your account
You can delete a homeowner account yourself from Privacy & data. Here's what's removed, what we have to keep, and how provider accounts are closed.
On this page
How to delete your account
- Sign in and open Privacy & data in your account.
- Under “Delete your account”, type your account email address to confirm.
- Choose “Delete my account”. You're signed out everywhere, and this can't be undone.
What's removed
- Your name, email address, phone number and password.
- Your open requests, which are closed so no new pro can connect.
- Photos from your requests, and photos on your reviews.
- Your sessions on every device.
What we keep, and why
- Pros who already connected with you keep the request details and contact information they received. They're the pro's own business records.
- Your requests stay in our records without your name or contact details, so pros' purchases, invoices and refunds still add up.
- Your reviews stay on pros' profiles, shown as “Former user”. Contact us if you want a review removed too.
- Messages stay in the pros' inboxes.
- Records we must keep by law, such as consent, tax and billing records and a note that you asked us to delete your account, are kept for the required period.
Download your data first
Deleting can't be undone, so download a copy of your data first if you'd like one.
Provider accounts
There's no delete button in the pro dashboard. To close a provider account, write to privacy@lokalmatch.com from your login email. If you only need a break, you can pause new leads instead.
