Writing and sending a quote
You can quote any lead you connected with. Your draft stays private until you send it, and every change after that becomes a new version.

Starting a quote
Open a lead under Connected leads and write its quote there, or open Quotes in your dashboard to see everything you've drafted or sent, newest first.
The first time you save, we create the quote as version 1, in the currency of the lead. You get one quote per lead, and you can keep editing it until you send it. The homeowner sees nothing while it's unsent.
What the quote needs before you can send it
If something is missing, the send button tells you what to fix. We never add, set or check tax rates: what you enter is what the homeowner sees.
- A scope of work.
- At least one line item, and a total above zero.
- A valid-until date after today and no more than 180 days away. A new quote starts with a date 30 days ahead.
- A deposit no larger than the total, if you ask for one.
- Your registration number on every tax line. Only a registered business may charge a tax, and the number is printed on the quote.
Deposits and local rules
When you ask for a deposit, we check it against the deposit rule recorded for the area and name the source. Where a rule sets a limit and your deposit is above it, we say so; where a rule doesn't allow it, you'll need to lower the deposit before the quote can be sent.
Where we have no rule on file for the area, we say so and leave the amount to you. Check the local rules yourself.
Sending freezes the version
Sending a quote fixes it in place. We store the moment you sent it, the business name it's issued under and the licence numbers we had checked, so the homeowner keeps the document exactly as it left you.
The homeowner is notified, and you can see when they open it.
Revising a sent quote
Any change after sending becomes a new version. The sent version isn't touched, and the homeowner keeps seeing it until you send the new one. Your quote list marks a quote that has unsent changes.
A quote you've already sent shows as revised once you send a newer version, and the homeowner answers that newest version. A declined or expired quote can be revised and sent again.
Withdrawing a quote
Withdrawing takes an open quote back, so the homeowner can no longer accept it. They're told. You can revise it and send a new version later.
When a quote is locked or refused
- Once the homeowner accepts a version, the quote is locked: no edits, no new versions and no withdrawal.
- If the homeowner closes the request, you can't save or send any more.
- If your purchase of the lead is refunded, the connection is undone and the quote can't be changed or sent.
- A profile that isn't active can't send quotes.
