Managing your bookings

When a homeowner accepts your quote, the job appears under Bookings. Propose times, agree one, then mark the job as done when it's finished.

Where your bookings are

Bookings in your dashboard sorts your jobs into what needs your action, what's upcoming and what's past, along with accepted quotes that still have to be scheduled.

A booking is created as soon as the homeowner accepts your quote. If one doesn't appear, the accepted quote is listed under accepted quotes to schedule and the Schedule button creates it.

Proposing times

Offer up to 3 options. Each has a date, a start and an end, must start and finish on the same day, can be at most 14 hours long, and has to fall within the next year. Times are entered in the job site's time zone, which the form shows you.

Your working hours, if you've set them, are shown as a reminder while you choose. The homeowner never sees them.

The homeowner picks one of your options, and that confirms the booking. You can replace a proposal with a new one at any time before they pick.

If the homeowner asks for other times

A homeowner can say none of your options work and add a message. That clears the proposal, so propose new times once you've read what suits them.

Rescheduling

Either side can ask to reschedule a confirmed booking, suggesting up to 3 new times. The booking keeps its current time until the other side accepts one, and the side that asked can't answer its own request. A declined request leaves the time as it was.

Marking a job as done

You can mark a job as done once its scheduled start has passed. The homeowner is asked to confirm it's complete, and the booking page shows the date it would be confirmed automatically if they don't answer: 7 days after you marked it done.

Automatic confirmation is a record that the job finished, nothing more. It isn't a payment and it isn't the homeowner's confirmation.

If a problem is reported

A homeowner who isn't happy can report a problem instead of confirming. You'll see what they wrote, and the automatic confirmation stops while it's open.

Sort it out with them and mark the job as done again. If you can't agree, either of you can ask our team to look at both sides.

Cancelling

Either side can cancel with a reason, up until the job is marked as done. The other side is notified and sees your reason. An account that's on hold can still cancel a booking, so a job is never left stuck.
