Responding to reviews as a pro

Pros can post one public response to each review of their business and edit it later. Here's how, and what to do about a review you think breaks the rules.

On this page

Posting a response

Open Reviews in your dashboard to see the reviews of your business and reply. Your response appears under the review on your profile. Each review has one response, which you can edit later, of up to 2,000 characters.

Responses follow the same rules as reviews, so leave out personal details such as addresses and phone numbers. Phone numbers, email addresses and links are hidden automatically before your response appears.

If your response is removed

We remove responses that break our review policy, such as threats, accusations of fraud or someone's personal information. You'll get a notice saying which rule applied, and the removed response can't be edited.

If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal once from Reviews in your dashboard. A person looks at your appeal and either restores the response or keeps the decision, and that decision is final.

Tips for a good response

  • Thank the homeowner and keep it short.
  • Stick to facts about the job.
  • If something went wrong, say what you did or will do about it.
  • Stay polite, even if you disagree. Other homeowners read your response too.

If you think a review breaks the rules

Use the Report link on the review, or write to trust@lokalmatch.com. We remove reviews that break our review policy, such as fake reviews or reviews written by competitors. We don't remove honest negative reviews on request.

Reviews can't be bought

Paying for leads doesn't change your reviews, and reviews can't be paid for. Your rating is calculated from published reviews only.
